I used to be egocentric and loved nothing more than the words my corrupt mind can brew until you came and filled me with the realization that next to you I am nothing but a child who'd written more doodles on her paper when the teacher had instructed us to write our names. Your paper is clean as the cursive falls from blue to blue while I'd consume the sheet with rings of pencil lead. You are careful, I am reckless; maybe that's why the teacher had me seated right next to you -- and you, seated right next to me.
